Adewole T. Akinbi (Wole) is a facilitator at half full, llc, who oversees the Youth Development side of the business, planning, and recruiting teenagers for half full Forwards. Wole is a lifelong resident of Providence and a Rhode Island native. He has a strong passion for youth development and public speaking.
A graduate of both the Community College of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College, Wole’s commitment to RI is clear and he credits his success to his adult mentors.
Wole has a long track record of community involvement across the city: from working alongside leaders as he received training in Kingian Nonviolence to educating Providence residents on sustainable energy and protecting non-renewable resources. In addition, he is a member of Unified Solutions, a citywide nonprofit group that works with underprivileged families in Providence. Wole is a founding member of the Smith Hill Partners’ Initiative (SHPI), a group of stakeholders in the Smith Hill section of Providence. SHPI’s objective is to improve the quality of life in Smith Hill by providing quality resources to residents who live in the neighborhood.
